not in *this* residing house! right here, we make tomato soup from scratch...and serve it up in man or woman bread bowls that have been baked to a crisp, then lined with provolone cheese and baked back to kind a vessel to hold the nice and cozy soup. If *something* is to be located into the soup, the satisfied diner might use the croutons that have been created from the scooped-out component of the bread that created the "bowl". Saltines may be served alongside, in case you insist--yet i don't!

Tinned or fresh tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic. Cut small.
Simmer all together until really soft. Add stock cube and water if needed to make more liquid.
Sieve out skin etc and push through fine mesh sieve but make sure its not boiling hot as it'll melt plastic.Add little milk and salt & pepper.
eat with fresh bread/rolls etc.. takes me back to my school days

Tomato and Garlic Bread Soup
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil (preferably extra-virgin)
9 garlic cloves, minced
8 ounces crusty white sourdough bread, cut into 1-inch pieces
3 large onions, finely chopped
8 cups chicken stock or canned low-salt chicken broth
2 (28 ounce) cans peeled plum tomatoes, drained, crushed
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil (for garnish)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese shavings
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Mix 1/2 cup olive oil and 3 minced garlic cloves in large bowl. Add sourdough bread pieces and toss to coat. Arrange bread in single layer on large baking sheet. Bake until golden, stirring once, about 20 minutes. Set garlic-bread croutons aside. Heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil in heavy large pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until very tender, about 25 minutes. Add remaining minced garlic and cook 1 minute. Add chicken stock, crushed tomatoes and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Simmer soup uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add garlic-bread croutons to soup and cook 1 minute. Ladle soup into bowls. Sprinkle with thinly sliced basil and Parmesan cheese shavings.
Homemade Tomato Soup
7 quarts ripe tomatoes, chopped
7 stalks celery, chopped
7 sprigs parsley, chopped
green peppers, to taste
5 medium onions, chopped
7 whole cloves
7 bay leaves
1-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
4 Tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
3/4 cups butter
Combine first seven ingredients in saucepan; cook until tender. Press through sieve. Bring to a boil. Combine remaining ingredients with 1 cup hot water; blend into a smooth paste. Add to tomato mixture; stir until well thickened. Pour into hot sterilized jars; seal.
Summer Tomato Soup
1 medium onion
1 medium carrot
1 rib celery leaves and all
2 cloves garlic
1 lb Roma tomatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup vegetable or chicken stock
salt
freshly ground black pepper
sugar
optional:
whipping cream or sour cream
Chop up the onion, carrot, celery and garlic. Sauté the vegetables in the olive oil until they soften and start to brown. Be careful because too much browning will make it bitter. Chop up the tomatoes and add the soup. Add the stock. Simmer until the carrots are soft. Pass through a Foley mill or coarse sieve. Season to taste with the salt, pepper and sugar.
