Take it from somebody who's been there, tried it and got the T Shirt...you can't keep up what you're doing forever and not have it affect the relationship because deep down it irritates you on some level to not be able to be yourself.
As hard as you may think it will be, the best thing, the only thing you can do is truly be yourself. If he doesn't like the real you, it wasn't meant to be and you'd never be happy. Move on and leave him be for somebody else. You truly deserve better and while you may not believe it, there is somebody out there for you that is so right, you won't have to be working for it.
Don't cheat yourself and think you're not good enough for what you really deserve.

This is admitting that all is not well. There is every indication that you are living in fear. Note: where fear rules, love cannot live or thrive!!
Saying you "HAVE TO ACT" shows if you don't, something may happen or fail to happen. Sounds like he demands perfection (which is not naturally possible under normal living conditions), and there is an attachment you have on him that you fear loosing OR he is manipulating you.In healthy love relationships, one is supposed to be free not ensnared in a thing!!
If you look forward to having your relationship grow and mature into may be marriage, then the foundation you are laying is outright not fittting. You are standing on quick sand and any time it can give way!! Men have egos they are proud of and are ready to protect!!If he takes it from you that the display he sees is who you are then realises that it has all along been faked, his ego and personality will have been greatly hurt/injured.The natural reaction is to hit at whatsover caused it. In this case it will be you. Because of the different emtional fabric men & women are made of, what will result will have a very adverse effect on you; and your capacity to relate in future. Men will sort an issue in their mind but ladies have their emotions very involved and thus engeged a big part of their hearts. This explains why it hurts them more and cannot get over ended relations quickly.
Stop where you are and know you are not sincere to him; how much are you commited to him? Do you really love him? Trust is an element missing and you are setting up yourself for hurt, pain and misery in future. Adjust your way of doing things and let him see the real you but in proportions he can handle. If he cannot put up with the real you, then you can as well plan an exit peacefully!!

Never be untrue to yourself. No one in this world is perfect and if he seeks the perfect partner and not you as you truly are, leave him and let his hand be his new partner. The biggest reason for ill-content in a relationship is when one partner tries to change another to better suit their wants. Love holds no prejudices and if he is sincere, then he will take you for who you truly are, and truly appreciate you.

Act like you may want to care a lot less. do not pay a lot interest to them. possibly verify with different unmarried men there and dance, have a strong time and do not act like you're anxious. Smile and snort and per chance you'll entice somebody else once you're there.

If you can't be your true self around him, why are you still together. You need to be with someone who loves you for who you really are....I say ditch him and move on.
