You forgot the "athiests are evil and going to hell" option. We all know atheists wake up in the morning and say "You know, I'm evil and going to hell. I think I'll be godless today."

I'm an atheist... Now why I don't believe in 'God' Well I'm a believer in what I see is what I will believe. Anyone can say god made the world then who made god ? Oh he was just here so can be said about earth. It's alot of things that make me question such a god. God loved his children then we all suffer.... God couldn't remake earth and get rid of Adam and eve and start anew no everyone must suffer.... God is love but he'll take your loved one away sometimes tragically.... God never responds to prayer. Help the poor. The dying. The sick. Now you ask me why should I believe in such a selfish being. I am spiritual but I don't need a god to have morals. To be a good person and someone true to my word. I don't need to believe in a god to impact people. To be happy. To love. To be the person I am. And if you know me I am a great person. If one day I was walking down the park and a bush lit up and said I am god and I exist I'd say Ok you proved me otherwise but it'll never change who I am nor how I percieve him. And before you make assumptions about people cause who they are you'd want to look in the mirror cause if half the people who write here are on Gods side I wouldn't want to be involved with them because they always think they are better and make comments which are very well hypocritical... You want to be respected then treat others with respect. Another reason I rather not join an organization.... Too much hypocrisy

Very thoughtful points you have there.

I think its a one of the reasons you state. Most of the times its because Man grows up learning about the proof mentality of science which he sees working.

On the other hand he grows up in a religious culture which speaks of mythology and the power of God as the universal loving father who takes care of everything. At the same time it seems rather hard to believe Gods existence looking at the wars, crime, history of bloodshed and murder. Plus hes not seen miracles as mentioned in the religious books - like Angels flying etc.

Another one is a false alter ego which demands that the ones own hardwork and intelligence is responsible for all the victories and God cant be given a share or credit for it !

Certain injustices or torments faced with oneself of a loved one make one disillusioned with the concept at times resulting in a broken faith and in some elements of faith like patience, tolerance etc.

science has better explaination of the theory of evolution, religion doesn't. God create everything is not a strong support. There is no evidence of god, it's all made up. I learn that the birth of Jesus, Dec 25, is not true, I think he is born in the beginning of the year, not end. Many of the theory in religion does not make sense, there is no proof. All they tell you is just believe it.

Atheists don not beleive in God because they beleive that the world was created in a scientific way, they do not beleive that God created the world and all its living things.

They do not have LOVE. They do not want to give. Jesus said to give your whole life to God. They are not givers. They do not trust that if there is a God, that he will give back to them. They are self reliant. Some have an ego problem.

In the simplest terms, we (humans) don't like to answer to anybody. We like to do our own thing, be our own bosses.

That's how the serpent convinced Eve to eat that apple. Basically, he said, "C'mon, now. Why do you think God doesn't want you to eat that apple. It's because you'll become like Him, right?"

Atheists, I would guess, like to think that this is it. This is as good as it gets, living on this planet at this time.
