No. In Jesus' day, we would have been referred to as Gentiles.

technically... no. The Jews are set aside as God'd chosen people. He has given them special attention and guidance since the beginning. In the word, God says that he will judge them first, then the rest of us. The word also talks about being a Jew at heart. Since the Jews were given the law and did not (could not) follow it. They did not accept Jesus for who he was. There are men, who were not given the law, and they have accepted the son of God, Jesus. That's us. We have been grafted into the jewish tree, so to speak, and are allowed to take part in all the blessings that come from being part of the original tree. Even though we are just wild shoots. But beware, if God has cut off parts of the original for their unbelief, what do you think he will do to the part grafted in if they don't continue in the belief that Jesus is the son of God, He was crucified for our sins, and was resurrected in 3 days?

No. Originally, the Christians stayed as Jews, but they eventually broke away. Both groups have similar teachings, but they have major differences, such as the trinity vs. 1 whole God that require seperation.
By the way, contrary to another given answer, Judaism isn't a hereditary thing. It's a religion that can be converted to or from. However, like all religions, if parents are members of the religion, their children are of the same faith. My point is that there's no such thing as "Jewish blood."

Jesus was a Jew. Being Jewish is about what type of blood is flowing in your veins due to your hereditary make-up. Choosing to follow Jesus does not make you Jewish.
There are, however, Jews who have decided to follow Christ and believe that He is messiah. They are called "completed Jews" because they have allowed God to finish His work in His chosen people. They still celebrate Jewish feasts and holidays, as well as Christmas and Easter.
Being Jewish has to do with being a descendant of Abraham, and a covenant God made with him. God said that He would multiply and bless Abraham's descendants. When the Jews, by and large, rejected Jesus, God extended His message and the Salvation Jesus provided on the Cross, to Gentiles, as well as Jews.

In the Bible, there are only too kinds of people in the world, spiritually speaking, of course: Jews and Gentiles. I am a Gentile because I was not born into a Jewish family. It says Jesus is the Messiah for the everyone. Just because I follow Jesus--that doesn't suddenly change my ethnicity.

How can a Christian be a Jew? Jesus did not come to start a religion, he came to fulfill the Scriptures. There are over 400 prophecies in the Old Testament which are fulfilled in Jesus in the New, many of these are in Matthew.
A Jew is a people, not a belief, so how can I become a people. But I do in Christ, as he says, "I will call them a people who are not my people." That is what Christians are, we are believers in the Jewish Messiah.
Jesus gave the Scriptures to the Jews, He gave them the Law and the Prophets, then he gave them Christ, which most of them rejected, (But not all!)
So we have Jews, who reject Jesus as Messiah, Christians who accept Jesus as Messiah and Messianic Jews who are Jews who accept Jesus as Messiah.
Hope that you understand that, and trust that it helps.

Correct in that Jesus was a Jew and followed Jewish customs. However, He came to bring forth a new covenent and the old one was abolished. Christians follow the new covenent, the Jews the old.
With that being said, I would like to add that Christians respect and honor the Jews as God's chosen people.

Christians are those who follow Christ Jesus, and anyone from any ethnic group can become one.
But, to truly follow Jesus, you have to stop being what you were, and actually BE a Christian.
There are too many 'false' Christians in this world, but the Word of God clearly states what it takes to BE a true born again Christian.
And believing Jesus is the Son of God is not enough, for faith without works is dead. That is directly from God's Word.
And don't swallow the lies that the Catholic Church is God's Church, for they do not follow God's Word.

Nope. Jews must be circumcized as part of God's covenant with Abraham. How many Romans do you think were willing to be circumcized to become a Christian/Jew? Which would you become?
To become a Jew, you must believe in one God, not three! The Jewish messiah will be a great HUMAN leader who will help us to bring peace on earth.
Jews do not elevate the status of any human to that of a god. That is where Judaism started -- other nations' kings/rulers/pharoahs, etc. were elevated to gods, saints, etc. Jews were the first people to question the authority of leaders.

Jesus didn't start christianity per se. They were around before he showed up giving lovins. People just thought he was cool so they just decided to make him their personal mascot. It was around the time of the Romans. They figured they couldn't kill all the christians so they decided to drop paganism and adopt this crazy new religion everybody was into and thus was born the bloody horror of the ages known as the Roman Catholic Church. And we know how crooked and terrible the romans were. Do you know what religion your'e eating?

Ive heard we were grafted in. The Jews are Gods chosen, but when the Gospel was given to the Gentiles, we were given a chance to be children of God.
