It is a truly offensive act and insult to any German and any lover of good beer to make the American fake "Budweiser" the "official" beer of the World Cup. (The real Budweiser comes from the city of Budweis in the Czech Republic, but during the Cold War the Americans stole the name and have used it ever since, despite protests and court orders.)
Germany has more than 3000 breweries with thousands of good beers, all brewed under the purity law of 1516. So any of those beers is vast superior to the American fake "Budweiser", but because the Americans, who have not a clue about Football, paid millions to FIFA, no German beer can be sold in the German stadia during the World Cup and the fake American stuff is pumped out instead. Many of my German friends boycott it and rather wait with drinking until after the match, when they go to a bar or restaurant where they have free choice.
Personally I no longer take alcoholic drinks, but when I did, I liked the original Budweiser (from the Czech Republic) very much, as well as the Bavarian beer from the Abbey of Andechs and the beers of the Royal Bavarian Brewery at Kaltenberg Castle.

Well in this house, we can't get a consensus.
The Dad of the house is a Kestral Xtra Strong man.
The Mom (me) likes White Wine Spritzers with ice and lemon.
The little guys go for Filtered Water (health freak black belt son)
or Ice Cream Floats (Vanilla ice cream and coke - the boy will have no teeth left by the time we watch the next world cup)
What is a mother to do?

Stella... like any good football hooligan... However saying that, my regular is a Fullers pub that serves Honeydew, ever tried it? It's a light real ale served cool that does actually taste of honey... yummy, almost as sweet as me. Although at 5% ten or eleven of them leads to you crawling around on the floor... During the England/Portugal game I did mix half a pint of Honeydew with a Smirnoff Ice... bad mistake... supersweet and fairly lethal.
But then again, I'm known to drink 'Destroyer' on occasion - aka Scrumpy/Stella snakebite... now that gets you in trouble!!!

Kilikia. It's made in Armenia. It's better than other beers which I used to drink, like european beers. And why is it so good? Because beer is mostly water, and the water that springs out of the mountains in the caucasian range IS very good. Try it!

A good ice cold Foster's or Carling cold goes down really nice in a pint glass with a little lime (droooool, drool). Oooo that reminds me must get more beer today.
