Animals can sense the change in the atmosphere before a storm hits and none of them like it. The sound of the thunder scares them because they hear it louder than we do. My big brave shepherd tries to hide under the covers of my bed.

That's so normal. Most cats don't like the sound of thunder. When it's storming, know there are a bunch of kitties going crazy, not just tiger.

most, if not all, cats do not like thunderstorms because they don't like loud noises. does your cat hide when you use that loud machine to clean your carpet or when you open the ironing board or when someone knocks really loud on the door?

a lot of animals are afraid of thunderstorms, I think it's the loud noise. we live on a busy street, so my boys have gotten use to loud noises so thunderstorms don't bother them
