Go to your local registry office or failing that ask at the home office what form they recommend, they are sure to have come across this before, the Brazilian embassy here should also be able to help.

I was researching this too as I thought I needed this certificate (offically called Civil Letters of Freedom).. I agree with most ppl here.. Your best bet is to go to your embassy :) They will point you in the right direction.

Your embassy in Brazil will provide you with that certificate, my husband got his never been married certificate from his embassy in Jakarta.

There is no such thing. But you may be able to go to your town clerk and ask for a search of your weding licence and have them certify that none is found. It's meaningless...there is no central registry of marrages.

A birth certificate would do-- surely?
