read Jeremiah, Chapter No.36, Verse No.30, it says that…‘Jehoiachin the father of Jehoiachin… no one will be able to sit on his throne - The throne of David, no one will be able to sit after Jehoiachin.’ If you read later on, II Kings, Chapter No 24, Verse No 6, it says that… ‘Jehoiachin after he died, later on Jehoiachin sat on the throne’ -

He said Nebuchadnezzar would come against the Mainland and tear down the walls of the city. That did happen. But part of Tyre was built up on a little island. After he took care of the mainland, he laid sieze to the island for 13 years. But the island isn't the mainland now is it? Later on Alexander the Great came along and finished that little bit off. So you have not shown anyone any unfulfilled prophecy here. Sorry. Better luck next time hon :)

Please quote correctly.
Jeremiah 36:30 states 'Therefore thus says the LORD concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: "He shall have no one to sit on the throne of David, and his dead body shall be cast out to the heat of the day and the frost of the night.'
The verse states that Jehoiakim will have no heir to continue his line on the throne. It does not say that no one will be able to sit on the throne after him.
His son Jehoiachin did succeed him, but had no rule as he only 8 years old and lasted as king for 3 months and 10 days in 597B.C. according to 2 Chronicles 36:9-10.

well, it shows by your statement, you already have a firm belief. Why then do you criticize scripture that you may have read partially, to go along with what you already believe? It actually states in Jer. 36:30-"The Lord says this about King Jehoiakim Of Judah: he will have no heirs sit on the throne of David, his dead body will be thrown out to lie unburied-exposed to hot days and frosty nights." if you read correctly in II Kings Jehoiachin later sat on the throne who was the son of Jehoiakim.

Sorry to correct you. But the father of Jehoiachin is Jehoiakim.
2Kings 24:6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

the prophets are human and not God himself. so is it possible that the so called prophets might not have gotten everything right? Then there is also the matter of translations. translators all differ in their interpretations. that is why there are so many versions of the bible. Then there's the readers, who also understand with their perceptions. maybe readers get the wrong message. who's to say that the so called prophecies were prophecies to begin with?
