head and shoulders shampoo is just terrific, if you can't get that try dawn dish washing detergent. apply once and rinse then apply and lather up real good, let it sit on your hair for five minutes but don't scratch it or scrub harshly, just use circular motions and be gently. rinse and rinse and rinse with cold water. If possible tell you mom you'd like her to buy you some coconut oil virgin (which has something to do with the way it is made) and take two teaspoons a day. the dandruff could be from the old shampoos or from a build up of old shampoos and conditioners or from your diet. drink eight glasses of water a day to flush your system good and the coconut oil is bought at a health food store for ten bucks. it will make your hair great and keep you skin and hers soft and smooth. better get to the Internet and check out virgin coconut oils, you'll see how good the stuff is for you and everybody. good luck...

Much of your problem is due to the fact that you are growing and basically your oil glands are working over time and it causes crazy flaking...kinda like part dry/part oily scalp. It might not even be dandruff.
Get some Tea Tree oil at the health food store and massage a FEW drops into your scalp before bed or before you shampoo. If you can't find Tea Tree oil....Simply make sure you are combing or brushing your hair to stimulate your scalp and shampoo and condition daily. Use the right products for your hair type...oily, dry, normal.
This happened to me when I was your age and this worked for me. Be patient..it will pass.

Talk to your mom first about the issue. Then try to see a dermatologist (skin doctor) to get the right shampoo for the problem. But commucation with your mother first is key, otherwise you'll be stuck without the right thing.
Hope all goes well!

you could have seborrhea dermatitis. Can't be cured but you can control it. Caused by hormones (you being 13 I'm sure this is your problem and it will pass with time). Lower the fat and sugars in your diet. Wash your hair everyday with a non conditioning shampoo. On days you can, massage a little OLIVE oil on your scalp.

Try anti-dandruff shampoos from Pantene, Head & Shoulders or L'Oreal.Use them consecutively for a week, they should work pretty fine.

One doc I know recommends washing your hair with detergent like Tide. Are you putting gel or anything on your head? If so, stop it. Nothing belongs there but air.
