Veganism is a philosophy and lifestyle which "seeks to exclude — as far as is possible and practical — all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment."[4] In practice, this translates largely to the abstention from consumption or use of all animal products, including eggs and dairy products, as well as articles made of bone, leather, feathers, mother of pearl or other materials of animal origin. Vegans are also likely to avoid products that have been tested on animals. People who avoid eating all animal products, but who otherwise use animal byproducts (for example, by wearing leather shoes) are commonly referred to as dietary vegans.

Vegetarianism is the practice of not eating meat, including beef, poultry, fish, and their by-products, with or without the use of dairy products or eggs. The exclusion may also extend to products derived from animal carcasses, such as lard, tallow, gelatin, rennet and cochineal. Some who follow the diet also choose to refrain from wearing clothing that involves the death of animals, such as leather, silk, fur and many down feathers. While most vegetarians consume dairy products, veganism is a stricter form which excludes dairy, eggs, and any foods that contain these or other animal products. Still stricter is fruitarianism, which excludes all food but the botanic fruits of plants.

Vegetarians (depending on the type you are talking about) don't eat meat, but may eat dairy products etc. Vegans don't eat dairy eggs or any animal product at all. Some may not wear leather because it comes from an animal.

i'm a Vegetarian, and characteristic been for approximately a 12 months. i'd say that both have the flair to be very very healthful, yet what many human beings do not realize is the want arises have commerce resources of protein and different issues once you end getting all of your protein from meat. i imagine that being a Vegetarian is the easier decision, and in case you would opt to end ingesting meat, you should actually ease into it. you won't be able to easily end ingesting meat sometime and under no circumstances eat it back. Vegans do not eat something that is going by animals: no eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt, meat; and they in many circumstances do not eat many processed meals both, in my adventure. the in person-friendly words issues that you won't be able to eat in case you change right into a Vegetarian are meat/chicken products. in case you opt for to be a Vegetarian or a Vegan, I pretty advise you commence ingesting almond or soy milk plenty, as yet another source of protein; and, to assist the cravings for chicken or a burger (you receives them,) Boca has a line of veggie/soy burgers.

A vegetarian eats only veggies and not meat. Sometimes fish and poultry. This is done for health reasons.

A Vegan is a person who does not eat, buy, wear or hurt any animate living object. No leather products, no make-up or perfume that has been animal tested, fur coats hell no. They feel that every animate living obect ie. birs, fish, mammals, bugs etc. has feelings and should not be harmed for our own selfish purposes. These people are usually very sensitive and total animal lovers.

Vegans are people who will not eat any kind of animal derived products at all - or wear them for that matter either !
They do not use lard made soaps, etc. wear leather, fur, etc.

Vegetarians may opt for eggs, milk, cheeses, fish - there's different kinds of vegetarians - Those that eat only seafood, those that do not, etc.etc. Also in one of the posts someone mentioned gelatin not being from an animal - correction - it is made from the hooves of animals. So, it is animal derived.
