Thank you all so much for your swift & heartfelt responses. Some had asked her age; Princess is only 4 yrs old, & is my 12yr old daughter's constant companion & friend. Each acts almost like the other's shadow. Unfortunately, from the info I'm receiving about cost vs. life expectancy, I'm afraid we may have to let her go. Thank you all anyway, and especially thank you for your prayers; this is all in the Lord's hands now.

I do not have any experience concerning animals, but my aunt had cancer of the lymph fluid and she cured herself by drinking wheatgrass juice. We sometimes put a little wheatgrass juice on our cats' water and they LOVE it. I believe it keeps them healthy. PLEASE try(along with whatever treatment you choose)feeding your beloved dog one ounce of wheatgrass juice a day. you can get it at a heathy juice bar.("Jamba Juice" has it too) Please try this. it can't hurt.

I'm so sorry to hear that your dog is ill. Yes I have had experience with lymphoma. Sarge and I went the whole route. I was lucky to work at an animal hospital and my Dr. help us all the way through some very rough times. We started chemo and went from there. He was a very good penitent, and handled the treatment well, but he was a sick dog, He mostly slept. The one thing that helped him the most was he was a large dog and he was born to eat.He went into remission and stayed their for about 6 months. When we started the treatment the Drs. gave him 9 months we made it for19 months. He was on high doses of pred. which made him hungry all the time he drank large amounts of water i had to take him out 2-3 times during the night, during the day he went to work with me. treatment was costly for me and I got the medicine at cost and Doc didn't charge for his time. I spent about three thousand dollars. When the time came to say good-by I was thank full for the extra time I had with him. Looking back on it now and seeing how the chemo affected him I don't think I would go that route again. maybe do just the pred. I hope this is of some help to you at such a difficult time.good luck with what ever route you chose to go.Please keep me up dated on your baby.

Oh no I haven't but my friend and I love rottweilers! I am soooooooooooooooo sorry! I hope he will ok and if I had the money I would help you pay for it! Oh ya ok I know this is weird but I'm gonna tell you this(no offence) but my friend had a rottweiler , she also has a younger brother(3) and another younger brother(6). The younger brother(3) got bitten by the rottweiler and they had to have him put to sleep. It was a very hard time for her! So I hope you get through this safe and sound and I'll keep your dog and your family in my prayers, I promise.
