Make it simple. Like a variety (2 or 3 choice) of lunchmeat, chips, pickles, and maybe a salad. After traveling they may want a little something to eat but not a lot. Tomorrow show off your cooking talents.

Go with something easy and cold. After a long ride in a car, a large salad with chicken breasts would be good. The cooler meals are relaxing after the stress of a long ride. Hope that helps.

Have everything ready for them...start early and have a nice pot roast, carrots, taters, onions, and celery cooked with the roast...make sure they have a nice glass of iced tea or other non-alcoholic beverege...do up some corn on the cob as well as some tater salad. That ought to fill them up and it's always a crowd pleaser.

in my opinion you should fry up a nice batch of chicken, fix some mashed potatoes and gravy, boil some corn on the cob, and baked some rolls. for dessert try some chocolate or vanilla cake.

I would get some take out. Wait until they get there and find out what they would like and order it. Either have it delivered or go and pick it up while they relax.

I would suggest something light, like fruits and veggies for when they show up. Later, take them out to dinner.
