In general, the rule is 1/2 cup for fruits like berries and melons, and a small/medium size(about the size of a tennis ball) for fruits like apples, pears, peaches, etc. This is from the USDA food pyramid.

Fruits and veggies are pretty much eat all you want. Don't worry about exact numbers. I'd say that 5 or 6 is a good amount though.
