BALUT it is a Filipino delicacy and can buy it to the Filipino stores here in California. Balut is a duck egg, after few days of encubation, the egg is boiled and therefore you have an embryo, You eat it with a little salt, it is known to be aphrodisiac.

I'm in St. Louis, one of our local minor league baseball teams sells a bacon cheeseburger on a Krispy Kreme doughnut instead of a bun...ugh. I think it's strange and I live here.

I don't know if the rest of the world will find it strange, but in San Francisco we put garlic on our french fries. We also eat clam chowder out of sourdough bread "bowls."

Personally, I think the UK has the "strangest" names for its food offerings, including but not limited to such things as "spotted dick," "toad in a hole," "bangers & mash," etc.

i am from the mississippi gulf coast and we eat french dressing on our pizza down there and i moved and i call the pizza place and they dont even sell french dressing packs up here so i had to buy a bottle at the grocery store just for pizza night.
