There is no complete cure for it but powdered cinnamon on your
cereal in the morning helps some. My friend is a type two diabetic and started doing this to see if it worked.
He now takes byeta (not completely sure of spelling) it is for diabetics that are trying to loose weight and drop the sugar level. He's lost 30 lbs in 2 months.
Doctor said if this keeps going that well he won't need his med's anymore. But first talk to your doctor and see if this is right for you. I just know the results he has gotten.

there some herbs that has been shown that help diabetics by making yore body more sensitive to insulin Cinnamon and Gimnema sylvestre or penta and other supplements like chromium picolinate vanadium alpha lipoic acid DHEA Another thing is that hydrogenated fats do block the insulin receptors making the problem worst so don't eat anything with hydrogenated fats (Crisco is a good example)

If you are looking for a "cure" you will not find one. If you are looking for "relief" of the symptoms of diabetes, i.e., high blood glucose levels, you might fine something somewhere; but, probably not. If you are a Type II diabetic, then you can take one or more of the many diabetic pills on advice and prescription from doctor. If you are a Type I diabetic, then you have no choice but to take insulin if you want to live beyond a few months.

In my opinion, medicinal mushrooms like shiitake and ganoderma work well in lowering blood sugar and minimising spikes.I have personally heard from diabetics who consume ganoderma that the symptoms have been brought under control. Of course, diet is also important. Go to www.begellhouse.com and www.pubmed.org to search for details of clinical research on ganoderma and shiitake.

Diabetes does not respond well to herbal medications. See a doctor and get the real stuff.
