He could definately be a carrier with no symptoms, the same thing happened to me from my boyfriend now. It isn't a definate sign of infedelity from either side. He could have gotten herpes from one of his past partners 4 years ago, and he could never show symptoms, I mean never ever show them. My doctor said they actually did a study on a women that had herpes, she said that they were checking to see when she was more likely to spread the virus. The odd thing is, is that she said that in the study they found that she was more likely to spread the virus when she had no visible symptoms at all, and she was actually spreading from her nose and mouth more then her genital area, that is how off this std is. When I got it from my boyfriend I was horrified, I didn't know what to think, after time went by and much research and many discussions with my doctor I realized it can be spread from someone with absolutely no symptoms. However in a some people if they are one that will show symptoms you will normally get it 10-14 days after you contract it, meaning he could have been in the stage of possible spreading and you got it then. Go to this website and possible print it up and show it to him, or talk to you doctor and get papers from her, but good luck!!

I also wanted to highlight this stuff that came off of the website, read the first paragraph and that should show you and him both, but I still am listing the website so you can have all information!

HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be found in and released from the sores that the viruses cause, but they also are released between outbreaks from skin that does not appear to be broken or to have a sore. Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact with someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. Transmission can occur from an infected partner who does not have a visible sore and may not know that he or she is infected.

HSV-1 can cause genital herpes, but it more commonly causes infections of the mouth and lips, so-called "fever blisters." HSV-1 infection of the genitals can be caused by oral-genital or genital-genital contact with a person who has HSV-1 infection. Genital HSV-1 outbreaks recur less regularly than genital HSV-2 outbreaks.

You can not get herpes from a public toilet. Herpes is just one of those mysterious virus' that a person can have a not know it. You can have it for years and never have had any symptons. Sometimes doctors can not even detect it, when you get a general std testing done they do not test for herpes - you have to actually request to get tested for herpes for them to do it. You could have had this for years or he could have had this for years and neither of you realized. Tell him to educate himself on the subject before he goes accusing you of cheating. If more people would actually research herpes rather then listen to tv or myths they would find it's the most common virus out there, in fact 90% of people have a form of herpes whether it's herpes 1 or herpes 2. Take him to the doctor with you so he can hear all the information, oh a make sure it's a different doctor then the retarded uneducated one that told you it was from a public toilet. Good luck girl, it's not that bad - I've had it for years and never get any symptoms.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about six yrs ago, when I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I know lots of girls will say this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/0dYXP everything got better.

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program provided me the chance to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.

Hot tubs are not a source for herpes. It can't survive the heat or water. That fact has been stated on WebMD several times. For it to be contracted from a toilet seat, the person would have to have an open lesion, that lesion would have to have direct contact with the seat (it would have to be on the buttocks or thighs) and you would have to sit on it immediately after they got up. It is possible to contract it from a towel used by a carrier.

Also, if your husband ever had a cold sore and performed oral sex on you, that is another means of contracting it. But he should be tested. Men usually have such mild symptoms, or no symptoms at all, that its mistaken for heat rash or jock itch. And it can lay dormant in the body for years.

I doubt you can actually get it from a toilet. You would have to have had contact with the toilet very quickly after a woman with herpes pressed against the toilet and you have to press against it like she did. I'd believe you have it, but I'd get a different doctor since this one seems inept. I'd also consider talking to your husband because as far as I know, no one can just be a carrier of herpes.

It could be possible, but herpes is an STD meaning it is transmitted through bodily fluids. I doubt that you are the one who contracted it, you'd better ask your husband who he's been with lately besides you. It is possible though if you or your husband had a cold sore and had oral sex to get it that way.

The virus is spread rarely, if at all, by objects such as a toilet seat or hot tub. It is mostly spread by someone who is shedding the virus either during an outbreak or during a period with no symptoms. You can transmit herpes through close contact other than sexual intercourse, through oral sex or close skin-to-skin contact.
