these camps are great. Counselors who understand juvenile diabetes. Plus they know the importance of refrigeration of insulin shots, understand what to do when one goes into a diabetic shock, and teach good dietary practices.

My grand son is also 9 (Thank God he is not a diabetic!) but he is to small to play football.... I say so what let him play anyway!! Your grandson should be encouraged to play anything and everything he wants!
I have been a diabetic from birth (now 47) The only real thing besides watching the blood sugars and all that is the coach and team members need to know whats up.
If its his first year of running, check into the kid camps they can be some of the greatest summer times for him.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

There are a lot of camps and programs. Ask your doctor about those. Sports are wonderful for diabetics! Before a game get his blood sugar to 140-160, so that he won't go low or high during the activity and encourage him to play sports!

I have 2 sons that are Type 1 Diabetics. They both have been very active in sports. Its really the best thing for them. My youngest is 11 and plays Baseball, Basketball and football. H eloves it. Just make sure you monitor him closely. We have a tendancy to let his blood sugars be elevated prior to sports especially a very active sport. Let the kids be kids. Thats all. Good Luck

I'm a diabetic since I was 8 years old....and now I'm a teenager... so I feel terrible weakness when my blood sugar is low...so try to give him a small dose of insulin and let him eat a piece of chocolate or any kind of sweet if he wants to play or exercise...he can swim he can play football ... he can do any kind of entertainment or sport that any kid in his age can do....as long as he doesn't get weak...
