A condom, used properly is the best protection from HIV besides abstinence.
It is harder for a woman to give HIV to a man because the concentration of the virus is not as high in the vaginal fluids as it is in semen or blood. There is ALWAYS a risk, but if you're faithful about using a condom EVERY time you have sex you'll probably be OK. HIV can be passed any time semen, vaginal fliud, or blood (or breast milk) comes into contact with a mucus memebrane which is the type of tissue that lines the MOUTH, the TIP OF THE PENIS (not just the urethra, the whole glans), the VAGINA and the ANUS. That's how it's spread, so other activities are not safe. Even for you to have anal sex with her- that is a very abrasive activity since the tissues aren't designed for that much friction. Anal sex is actually the highest risk of transmission.
There is NOT a cure. The treatment is often called "triple cocktail". It's three meds that work at three different stages of virus replication. This is the best way for people to keep their viral load down, but they are never cured. Today, as long as people practice healthy habits and are consistent with their medications they can live 20+ years. If she has been connected to community resources, there may be some counseling you two can go to together to work through some of the really tough questions... Hope that helps!

Well, as long as you wear a raincoat, you will be okay. The real question you should be asking yourself is, is can I have children with this woman? Will she be around to help raise this child? Will I be able to handle the heartbreak when I do, eventually lose her? Or is this just a one night stand? If it is a one night stand, by all means, don't get her pregnant. It will only be heartbreak for you in the end.

Physics comes into play here. It is much harder for a woman to give a man HIV because it's hard to rail little hiv dudes up the urethra in your penis when there are fluids(depending on how hot she is...lol!)bursting out of that same urethra. Know what I mean. Men usually give hiv to women, not the other way around unless you're into rough sex, then?????? Hope this helps. Just use a condom and good luck. :)

Basically, its not a problem because they already found a cure for HIV about 3 years ago...Where you been? They call it, like a cock-tail or something like that.. ANyway, HIV is in the vaginal fluid, so just don't have sex in the vagina... Just have anal and or oral - basically you can't catch HIV that way

You can live with her, but do not have sex with her. She also will not have much more than 15 more years to live, but if you love her, then go for it.

Just don't have sex with her.
