Of course I'm afraid of it, I don't get to be alive anymore. I don't get to do all the cool things alive people can do like eat fish and chips in the open air or see a sunset from a beach or stroke a purring cat or go on a rollercoaster or smell fresh cut grass in the spring.

Also, if I die, it's likely to be in an unpleasant way. Like an accident, or from some kind of disease. I'd like to die peacefully in my sleep without knowing about it but not everyone is as lucky as that.

What do I think it's like? I'd like to think it's like the time before I was born - like when you lose consciousness as you fall asleep, but without the dreaming. You just cease to exist, and no longer have any awareness. Sad, but it comes to all of us, and hopefully our memories will live on through the people that knew us.

I am not scared of death...the process of dying is what I think causes many to fear some...because it is an unknow experience to us...those who have already completeed this experience are not here to tell us what is going to happen.....but I know that the Lord says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord ..so I am not afraid of what awaits me just curious about what it is like to pass through from this world to the next place which will be my real home HEAVEN

No need for anyone to fear death unless they have been brainwashed into believing in the heaven or hell thing!
I think death is like a deep dreamless slip, (oblivion) things cant get more peaceful than that can they?

NOT afraid of death. Death is my ticket home.

Not terribly fond of pain and discomfort sometimes associated with the process.

I hope to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather, and not terrified and screaming like the other passengers in his car.

I'm not afraid of death, and no one should really be afraid because its part of life, you accept life you accept death, but if you cant accept death you cant accept life, simple! have you ever been under anaesthetic and had an operation and i mean like cut open and stitched? well you were out and gone, or else you would feel it, and i feel it is like that but we don't come back, but i feel joust before we go our spirit rises, and just the shell (body) is left, but we do return, i feel, have you ever been somewhere and you feel you have been there before, or met someone and felt really familiar knowing you have never met them before? well you may have in your earlier life. that's my opinion.

Non mortem timemus, sed cogitationem mortis
it is an old latian saying it translates to
"we donot fear death ,we fear the thought of death."(roughly)
it has lost something through time but i think you get it.
Do you Remember before you were born?
then death will be no different for you.

People are afraid of the unknown and that is why they are scared of death. No one has ever came back to tell us what it is like. So that is why we are scared.

Death doesn't bother me - it's getting old and all it's related problems that I worry about.

We'll all be dead in 2 years anyway, after that asteroid thing hits us!!!!!

Death will be good! I'll be in heaven with Jesus, no more evil. Dying is what scares me, not death itself.
