I want to start a vegetarian diet but I am really allergic to soy and nuts. I can't eat anything that has more than a trace of either. Are there any other foods I could get my protein from?

Are you going vegan, or will you still eat fish and eggs? They are excellent sources of protein. If it's a totally non-animal diet, there are many tasty ways to prepare beans, another excellent source of protein.

Yeah you can still be a vegetarian. And if you mix beans and rice together they make a protein that you shouldn't be a allergic to.

Beans and peas will be your main sources of protein. To get the proper amount to stay healthy, you will pretty much have to eat them everyday. If you're not going vegan, dairy is a good source also.

Absolutely! Beans and eggs are good for protein. Also, special k came out with a cereal with extra protein; I think it has 10mg or protein per bowl which is fantastic. Good Luck!! :)
