I dont know why. I dont preach to meat eaters but they get a thrill out of bagging us out. Are we a threat to them or do they just not understand how anyone could stop eating meat.
Live and let live, they cant deter us from our preference to not eat rotten flesh.
Their answers are disgusting at times, let's hope they get sick of it very soon.

"Meat tastes nice, but if you don't like it fine, don't eat it, but don't judge others for eating it either. and vice versa."
- No one here is judging anyone else based upon the fact that they eat meat. Someone asks a question on how you become a vegetarian and people just start jupming on them and shout "WHY THE F*CK WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT?!"
Far from US needing to be more open minded, I think that meat eaters need to stop acting as if becoming vegetarian is a crime. Hardly vegetarians here have made a comment about how they hate the meat eaters - it's mainly the fact that we don't like eating meat, yet why is it that there are so many people who 'hate vegetarians'? What we eat doesn't make us different people. I'm not trying to be sterotypical and I'm not trying to generalise, but there are a lot of vegetarian haters - more so than the non vegetarians who actually say 'I'm not a vegetarian but I respect your choice'
Oh and don't you hate it when peole just assume that because you don't eat meat you're malnourished and don't get enough protein? People should research and find out some things about vegetarianism before telling us that it's impossible to get all the minerals we need.

hi! i'm a vegetarian, i do not devour any varieties of meat or fish, yet I nevertheless drink milk, devour eggs etc. i'm adverse to peta because they sensationalize each little thing. they take the worst obtainable circumstances you'll discover, and shove it down anybody's throats putting forward that's continually the way it really is finished continually(speaking about meat processing vids etc). i imagine the conception behind peta is sweet, besides the undeniable fact that the way they bypass about it maximum cases only makes them look ridiculous, and would not connect with non vegetarians. i in my opinion imagine they have the option impression. lower back i imagine the conception of conserving animals is tremendous, yet vegetarianism is style of a faith, no longer anybody is going to stay with it, so it really is impolite to target to transform persons. What people devour is as a lot as them, so I easily do not have any properly to inform people what and what no longer to devour. about the fur component, I believe you. at the moment there are such good faux furs, that there is only no favor anymore. we've moved out of the fur era. besides the undeniable fact that lower back, i'm able to't say that i don't have leather-depending footwear, and different leather-depending products, so I gained't pontificate to people about wearing fur etc.

It is strange how people react to vegetarians and vegans. I turned vegan about two months ago--not really for any ethical reasons (although there should be more regulation on how food animals are handled)--but more just to clean out my system (get rid of all the toxins and steroids in meat, mercury in fish, etc.). I feel great by the way and have lost 12 pounds...
Anyway, as a man, I find my male friends feel I have somehow betrayed the "male species." When I tell them, they look at me like I just said I turned gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). Most female friends are fairly more supportive.
As someone earlier stated, it's important not to be too preachy, and I try not to be....anyway, eat what makes you happy and what makes you feel good....and don't worry about what others are shoving down their throats. (By the way did you see the ads for the new quad-stacker with bacon at Burger King--four slabs of beef topped with four slices of cheese and greasy bacon? Just step in front of a train; it's a much quicker way to go;)

I don't think people should start veggie bashing it's just looking for a fight and a lot of the time they don't have a leg to stand on. I've got a lot of respect for vegetarians because it's a daily commitment to something and it's not easy.

It's odd and new to me to boot. I don't know if veg-hatred is some new (anti)social movement, or if it's the anonymity of the internet. But I have never preached the gospel of vegetarianism to anyone, nor have I ever personally encountered hostility for my choice. Just here have I experienced people who are actively, aggressively anti-veg... if you want to continue eating meat, by all means go ahead... but don't crap all over me because I choose not to.

I'm not anti vegggy, but I do know that the human body can absorb the iron it needs most efficiently from meat. I also object to veggys who think I'm wrong to enjoy a nice juicy steak.

That is too bad. I eat all food available. I rarely discriminate on types of foods that I will eat. I love veggies and meat. More for me......Yummy, let's eat!
