It would be okay. My uncle in Africa during Veitnam ate at a resturaunt and had schiscabobs. He looked in the back and they were cutting up cats and dogs.

I can't answer for Muslims, but from a jewish point of view, it'd be okay because it's not a voluntary fault. The rules can also be broken if a life is in danger. (e.g. Someone is starving and pork is the only food available)

In Islam knowledge is more of a concern. If the person truly did not know, then Allah would not consider it a sin on Judgement day. If the person does have an inkling then it is their sin, and they must repent it through remorse, prayer and hajj for sunnis, and lashings and thrashings for shias.

That would be disrespecting your friends or whomever you would invite to join you for dinner. It wouldn't be a funny thing to them and would cost you any friendship. In fact what they might have to do because you did this might be very hurtful to them. I don't know what the consequenses would be to them themselves because it would be considered that they "allowed" themselves to be tricked and therefore may have to suffered strict consequences...beating themselves, or cutting a body part off...a bit drastic and worse case senario, but I don't know what their religous beliefs pertain.

In other words, think before you do.

Do you think it is right to make fun of other people's culture? They don't eat pork not just because of their religion but because they find that specific animal dirty.
