There is nothing wrong with you. You are simply realizing that the foods you eat on a daily basis are probably not the best for you, and put you at risk for a heart attack. I know that they say teens to early twenties is too young for a heart attack, but I know of a 24 year old who had one. She recovered and realized that the oils, fats, and sugars in her foods were no good. She stopped eating out, seriously avoided fast food restaurants, and is now a Vegan. If you want to avoid a heart attack at a young age, you might not need to become Vegan, but avoid the all powerfull Cheeseburger or Whopper. Vegan is nothing but vegetables: no milk, cheese, eggs, lard, or anything that might come from an animal.(this includes energy drinks and skittles) So just eat a few more salads, maybe some sardines, and drink plenty of water, you should be ok.

Sounds more like anxiety or panic attack issues going on with you. You did not give any idea as to why you think you've got heart problems...have you got any blood pressure issues, is your heart beating funny, or anything else that would justify your fear?

If not, something seems to be out of balance with your mental health more than your physical...but nevertheless you may want to get a second opinion from another doctor for your own peace of mind...good luck.

I would say go with your gut instinct. You may be healthy now, but i have heard that women can have totally different signs then men, and be able to sense one up to six months prior to it happening.
If the doctor says you are fine and you still feel something is wrong, get a second opinion. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Eat healthy , walk a mile a day and try not to sweat the small stuff.

It would be extremely unusual for a 19-year old girl to have a heart attack. If you are very concerned you should get your cholesterol checked and have the doctor do a treadmill stress test with echocardiography. This should rule out any significant blockage in the heart arteries.

You may want to look into some medication to balance out your system. I never really believed in med's to regulate your mind, but after seeing my wife transform from a panic attack-worry wort to a calm rational woman I believe these med's can work for some people. Talk to your doctor about SSRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). I warn you. There is a lot of old stigma attached to these drugs. Find out for yourself. The way these drugs SHOULD work is that the rigth one for you will cause NO side effects. If it does....it's not the right one.

Wow, and I thought I was paranoid. Interesting though, I'm a 28 year-old male and people have laughed at me for being paranoid about a heart attack. Now I don't feel so bad!

Seriously though, I could easily think of 100 things you would be much more justified in worrying about.

You may just be being parnoid over nothing... unless you are hiding the fact that you have a high fat diet... smoker... drinker...
and being a highly stressed individual... i think you have nothing to worry about... if in doubt consult a heart Specialist, whom i am sure will sort any worries out for you!

As long as you eat healthy and don't get into any bad habits... and you stop panicing about things... you should be ok!

There is really no reason for you to worry about something like that. It's great that you looked into all of your family's history. The main thing to do if you still feel you are at risk is to eat healthy and exercise.

Panic attacks, believe me you think you are having a heart attack, it really makes you feel really weird, but I think they have medication you can take, when I had it I didn't take anything. I think too much stress is the cause of these, at the time I had mine, I was having difficulty with my job & marriage, got rid of both of those, I'm fine now.
