I think it would go over especially well in larger areas or near tourist areas. Sometimes smaller towns like the ones that have military installations isn't a long shot either. I live in a town of less than five thousand and we have a killer New York style bagel shop!

In a larger city, the chances are very good. College towns also offer a decent chance, especially if some of the food is cheap enough. If the deli is any good and the only one of its kind in the area, it could become a destination for people all over town.

Well, it all depends on what kind of food, yes I realize you said European, just not sure exactly what that means.
It also depends on the Location.
Don't put it in a small town.
Put it in Charlotte or Raleigh. Both are big, crowded cities!

It would do well. We have a lot of people from up North move to the Cary-Raleigh area. Plus, a lot of us that live close by, go to that area for dining.
