Well, I tried it once. I decided that it would just be better for me healthwise and I still belive that but after the first 3 days, I was craving a hamburger something fierce!

There's a book that I read called, "What Would Jesus Eat?" which is really a great book because it shows what his diet would have been like where he lived and he was mostly all veggies, fruit, and legumes with an occasional side of fish. I think it has a cook book also. It follows along the lines of the Mediterranean diet if you know what that is. They eat very little red meat, some fish, lots of whole grains, legumes, fruit and veggies. It's very healthy!

I've been a vegetarian for many years now, and I love it! It was hard to make the transition at first, and I did stray a few times, but it's been well worth it! I think it's especially fun to try new foods, such as meat substitutes, I've never tried before.

Yes, I am. Sometimes I will have a sliver of ham - but that's about it. I choose to be vegetarian not because I think there is something wrong with eating animals but because of my health. Meat and other fatty foods are rough for my gut. Simply put, meat makes me sick! Besides there are lots of other health benefits.

I am a pescetarian. Aka a fishetarian. People expect me to have some socio-political stance on why I don't want to eat meat, but I don't have one. Meat makes me feel bad when I eat it ( no, fish doesn't ). You don't see obese veggie people walking around. It is a healthier way to live. I have spoken.

I am a vegetarian, but I am not a vegan and so drink milk and eat eggs. I also eat fish or meat if served, like once or twice a year at a party.

Absolutely! I really can't imagine eating meat. There's so much choice in veg cuisine, food doesn't rot in the fridge, doesn't cost as much, and it's a sustainable lifestyle.

Yes. After seeing how animals are killed before they are sliced up, I had to turn. If you want to see for yourself, look for a video called Meet your Meat...I think it is on Peta's website. It is very disturbing, so beware.
