Yes Chinese food in America is totally difference than in China just like American food in China will be different. And so is the case with every country.

Is this a real question or are you just trying to make sure people know? Yes, some people are aware that Chinese food in American is different than in China, and some people also know that pizza doesn't really come from Italy.

The one cuisine that has totally adapted itself too every country of the world is Chinese.
Chinese in US is very different to the Chinese in UK or India or Australia.I've had Chinese food in China and in quite a few other countries and in all the countries nothing tasted the same.

chinese food in other countries other than it's origin has been 'modified' to suit the ppl's tongues... i hv been to china and i hate the food there as i hv been so used to the malaysian version.. they are also influenced by the nyonyas (straits chinese), malays, indians, thais etc .. that's how chinese curry came about.. chinese food in germany is the worst! totally different from any other chinese food i've tried
same goes in american chinese food.. it's like a 'east meets west' kinda thing (e.g. fortune cookies)... you may not have 100% chinese food from china... some originated from hong kong (dim sum, wanton, har gow)

Yup I went to get chinese food in Flushing NY which had a huge chinese community and never had seen the food that was there, it was interesting, but my taste buds have been warped by the fake stuff so Ill stick with that

Yea in America Chinese food is nothing but fat and sodium. In China it's much Healthier. You rarely see fat people in China. They probably have green tea in China instead of a Pepsi in the US.

Not totally differnt but it's deal to some ingredients you can't find or difficult to find in American, of course the taste will be a little bit different and it's mainly serve American, it may be more sweet and a lot of deep fried foods.
