I love Chinese food.
Chinese food can be healthy --it depends on what you choose. Stir-fried/deep-fried items can be high in calories, but steamed dumplings, fish or chicken with plenty of veggies are relatively healthy. (Eat like the Chinese and fill up on the rice, eating the meat dish as a complementary side dish) Go for brown rice instead of white and you add more fiber. Noodle soups are also very tasty and relatively healthy as well.

Oh great, what a question! I'm chinese american and my husband is mexican american!
It depends on your mood. Some days I really crave chinese food but sometimes a really good carnitas taco is what I want.
Both are high in sodium so if you want what's "better" for you, I would say Chinese is a tad healthier. But what is "better tasting"? Well, that depends on what you feel like eating and what you order to eat.
My favorite Mexican is the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail or the Carnitas (pork). For chinese I have to say on weekends I like Dim Sum, well the shrimp dumplings (ha gow) or for dinner, the tea smoke duck or maybe roast pig
Man! I'm hungry!

I absolutely disagree with a couple above.
Chinese food is VERY high in calories - they use a lot of oil to fry, vegetables, stir fry, won tons, egg rolls, etc, etc. I just watched a show on TV which states that there were more calories in a dish of stir fry on white rice (fast food) than a Big Mac & Fries has. I almost fainted, I LOVE chinese food!!
Mexican food (especially home made) 'can be' very healthy - lots of meats (usually fat drained off after cooking or slow cooked), cheeses, vegetables - usually fresh as garnishes and their sauces are usually made with chilis (high in vitamin C) and slightly thickened. The tortillas are the most calories.
Of course, fast food always will be higher in calories, but whether you cook the Chinese or Mexican at home - they will both be healthy AND WONDERFUL if you cook them correctly.
