Only if the person makes it public or they give it to someone then it would be a criminal offense and will be made public. But legally a person medical background is not to be disclosed.
A person HIV status should be public just like sex offenders. I don't think it fair to have people walking around here with HIV and could give it to anyone at anytime.

Absolutely not. It's absurd to think people with HIV should be treated like sex offenders. You do NOT get HIV through daily contact with people, like shaking hands or sharing a restroom. Revealing this information to the public would result in discrimination against people who have this disease.
The scary thing really is this: A percentage of people who have HIV.. DON'T EVEN KNOW IT. Be sure to get tested.

No . HIPPA say's you can't reveal a person medical condition to anyone! The only way this would be told to would be healthcare
providers, first responders, amulance, police if there were an accident etc... If a person has been exposed and has exposed others are at liberty to tell them, that is a law or you can get in trouble. But being public or going somewhere to find out about a persons personal information NO.

Absolutely not. If your spouse has HIV, for example, his doctor and everyone else may know, but healthcare workers are prohibited from sharing this information with ANYONE by federal law known as HIPPA.
