OKAY, SO IT'S THE VEGANS and PETA THAT SAY I CAN'T EAT MEAT. And if you can't UNDERSTAND the simple question, then go out and have a burger. A REAL BEEF burger. sheesh. how numb can you be, REALLY!

Ok, yet again, before you all start attacking me, I'm just curious and need to know, if meat is bad, why are the protien substitutes all meat related. You know, hot dogs, burgers sausage...why not tofu brocolli or tofu shaped cauliflower, or tofu Okra? WHY is it (vegan meals) meat related if MEAT is so bad?

okay, do you have to BE A FRIGGIN BRAIN surgeon to understand this very simple question?

why do the vegetarians have to DISGUISE products as meat if we are NOT supposed to EAT MEAT????

Maybe I'm not being clear here, or are you all just really that dumb??

Calm down...

Who told you that eating meat was evil? Vegetarians choose not to eat meat for one of two reasons-to reamin healthy or to respect the other animals of this world. Eating products that look like meat is not the same as killing an animal. Pretending to smoke candy cigarettes is like dabbling in sin, but eating a burger--a shape of food, that's not the same. The provide you with these things so you don't have a hard time consuming the soy. Have you ever seen soy in it's raw form? I don't think you would put it in your mouth. The whole point is to substitute it for meat. What are you going to do, make soemthing that tastes like meat look like a piece of lettuce? No it would not be psychologically satisfying.

It's ok, they're not pandering themselves by eating meat LIKE products.

And by the way, there IS tofu broccoli. I saw it at Kroger last week. It's funny you should mention that.

No you're just not listening. I'm not even a vegetarian. In fact, I can't even stand the thought that someone would turn down God-given meat, but I understand the concept of meat substitutes just fine.

Animal products are protien products. The have evolved into common types of packaging and serving...hot dogs, patties, chops, cold-cuts...because these are easy ways to produce, package sell and eat the protien foods that we all need. Just because you are a vegetarian, there is no rule that you have to get all ugly and act stupid every time you see something that resembles a flesh-food. I have been a veg for a long time and I welcomed the soy dogs and other meat-like products with open arms. BTW this vegetarian doesn't really care what you eat. It is waaay more evil to cause arguements than it ever was to eat meat.

I severely doubt we are the dumb ones. First of all, vegetarians CHOOSE to not eat meat as a personal health/moral decision, you can poison your body all you want and I could honestly really care less. Second of all, we do not like to eat meat but sometimes we miss say, chicken nuggets, so we can eat a cruelty-free/much healthier alternaitve. Broccoli is already not an animal product and very healthy, so why would we need fake broccoli?? If this doesn't explain things better for you, please just give up.

WTF are you talking about! Like really.. I dont understand you

umm ok I think I understand your question now.. however I dont think you understand what your saying.

Vegans or vegitarians have tofu burgers because they substitute meat for tofu. Most vegatarians and that actually love meat (the taste anyway) and tofu takes on the taste of whatever it is cooked with.

They dont have tofu brocoli or carrots becasue that would be taking away veggies... which is what they can eat. Why would you use tofu to make something you can actually eat without changing it?! Makes no sence right.

Meh you're question was weird and I couldn't understand... I tryed my best though.

Why be concerned? Vegetarians don't say we can't eat meat, they say we ought not to eat it. But we do. They are right about a lot of things, like eating a wide variety of whole grains, fruit, and vegetables. But not about tofu - it belongs as what it is, eaten as is or in a soup. Fake "burgers" and "hotdogs" are fake and unappetizing. Just eat what you do, and I would hope that even with the meat you are eating lots of whole grains, fruits, and veggies, and go easy on the meat, as that is a healthy diet and enjoy life.

People have many reasons for becoming vegetarian. If they are doing it for health reasons they may like the taste of meat products and need a good substitute. It isn't always about animal cruelty, etc. I don't understand why this is such an issue for you though - eat whatever you want and don't be so concerned about what others are doing that doesn't affect you.

What vegetarians are telling you this? Have you had a vegetarian tell you this? I don't think most vegetarians care, I think they just eat what they want and let you eat what they want. There are a lot of health risks associated with diets high in red meat content. While you may not become a vegetarian you may learn a few things like what they are eating. Have you ever noticed your typical vegetarian? They are usually thin and look pretty healthy.

vegetarians or vegans eat meat made from tofu becuase they like meat but not the fact that it is made from animal. So if you don't eat meat from animal then you are not evil. Some vegetarians or vegans don't like the acutal form of tofu so they make it into meat form so they can get the protein. Also so vegetarians or vegans aren't born into that diet and they ate meat so tufu meat is only helping them adjust. As long as you don't eat meat you aren't evil.

because most vegetarians have tiny brains. They are stupid enough to think people can be fooled into thinking its real meat. I wont knowingly eat garbage like tofu (which contains high ammounts of aluminum salts which cause brain atrophy). That Tofu Burger looks and smells like Triceratops poop to me.Actually they are evil not us look how many people starve because of all those PETA dorks.I cant stand those punks
