As part of the rutine preg. tests i was tested for std's well it came back as Chlamydia, Problem is i did not have it a year ago.... I started a new relationship with my b-f in Jan of this year. Well I have been exclusive (and no other partner for 3 years before) He says he has been exclusive, his last relationship was with his x-wife in sept of 05. Could he have had it that long and not know or is it most likly that he cheated?

yes if you have chlamydia he did cheat on you. there is no way for him to have it for a while and then you get it.. he has cheated on you so please wear a condom or move on from him.. he doesnt respect you enough that he will cheat and bring home and std

People on here are ignorant. Do a little research and you will see that. Chlamydia often has no symptoms at all. Its possible that he did cheat on you, but it is ALSO very possible that he contracted it before you, and never knew about it. Trust is the only way to resolve this problem. I repeat he very well could have had it before you and not have known. It can be a very silent infection.

Chlamydia is silent, he might of have it before he met you and since you are such a responsible young woman you made him use condoms for a while and now that you feel comfortable with him and he uses no more condoms you got chlamydia as a result....

Honey, learn from this one and make sure the your partner is clean...

No...if you are in a single relationship with your BF then he gave it to you..sorry..I see this all the time where I work..it is sad and of course the BF or husband always puts it back on the woman..now it doesn't hang for years although men tend to harbor the organism inside them..but have him tested and if he comes back negative then you need to get a second opinion..you can't get from the toilet seat..

It's possible that he might have become infected with it in September of 2005 and had no symptoms...a lot of times, chlamydia can have no symptoms in men.

It's ALWAYS worth a conversation. Make sure that you don't have sex with him again until BOTH of you have been treated...though chlamydia is curable, you CAN get reinfected with it if you have sex with an untreated partner.

You could have had it from a previous partner and missed the symptoms or dismissed it as a yeast infeciton or something else and have only recently begun to show stronger symptoms. Same goes for him.
