They have all sorts of shapes and sizes. If you have a protruding lump anywhere on the skin of your penis, foreskin, testicles, anus or the immediate area then it could well be a wart. There could well be more than one and more could arrive. The virus can lie dormant for months or even years so telling your partner is not necessarily that difficult. They are also not a big problem: you just get them burnt off with a "cream" over time or frozen off in one go. They probably won't come back. But they won't go away on their own, so go to a genito-urinary clinic in a hospital, check yourself in and get looked at. If you have a female partner who you have unprotected sex with then you will need to tell her if it turns out to be warts, as they have been linked to cervical cancer. But again it shouldn't become a problem if you monitor the situation properly. Lumps on the penis are not necessarily warts, either. You could have harmless lumps which are nothing to do with std's.

Do you know a two year old boy had a wart on his hand. Then his mother my friend Chrissy took him to the ped. dr cuz one developed on his peepee. They didn't do much and accused alot . So I said she take him too a skin specialist. Dr mirando. (440-998-3376) Dr's miss diagnosis alot. A wart is a wart. Those who get might get the rest of there lives. Some naturrally spread to warm moist areas of the body. Some spread from contact with another wart. They aren't any more an std than rug burn- just a fact of life. She might of had them first or maybe you've had the virus since child hood and your imunity is low and back it is. At least its not Aids. just remember how you might of got it and do not put an innocent person through the same turmoil. Aids might not be an epidemic if everyone was open and honest. nothing to be a shamed of. no differant than every other virus out there that effects everyone in one way or another.

There is NO blood test for HPV, the virus that causes genital warts. In women, genital warts can either be seen visibly on the skin near the vagina or detected through a test called a Pap smear.

In men, the only symptoms are flat or cauliflower-like growths on or around the base of the penis.

i can answer this for you cause i have worked in the std clinic in dc and have seen it all.......genital warts are kinda like a mole it may be large in size or kinda small. if you suspect you might have them you need to go to your local health department and if you are a teen they usually have a teen clinic on certain days and it is free for teens. most states are like this since health departments are government facilities. but if you want a better understanding on gentital warts look it up on line. you are sure to find pics on www.webmd.com

Doesn't matter. Peel the head, to make open, add a cup and a half of bleach to bath water. Will clear up in 1 or 2 days.

If you're a male, you can see them. They might be on the base of your penis, or even on your testicles. If you see any, have them removed. And, for Heaven's sake, tell your partner you have them, and then use condoms.
