There is nothing wrong with eating nato during pregnancy. Nato is fermented soy beans. However, you may want to stay away from some sushi during pregnancy.

By the way, congratulations!

Eating Nato is safe. Just don't add a raw egg.

The Japanese food I've had, is simlar to Chinese food. And a ways down the street from me, there's a Chinese restauarant, which also serves Japanese food. They even have a room in the front, where you could be on your knees at a red table. What's your specific question?

♡My sister in law and best friend here in Japan both ate nattou almost everyday during their pregnancy and both had healthy and normal babies. (Very cute too!) I eat nattou just about every day. Not only is it delicious (in my opinion(*^o^*)/) It's nutritious and has many health benefits. I think you should be fine, BUT if you have some doubts, the best thing to do is ask the advice of your physician. If you have soy allergies or such problems consult your physician please.♡
Take a look at these sites for more information about nattou:

Think Nato Is sticky beans so I don't believe they could cause any harm.

Natto is not harmful but good for you during pregnancy as a nutricious source of protein. But as in most beans, can give you gas.

Japanese women eat it. I have never heard of a low fertility rate or death of the fetus because of it.
