Yes eat them everyday, but be aware of the quantity you are eating 1oz. is a serving. As a Raw foodist also, you are not getting near the amount of fat as a S.A.D. person So nuts, avocados & such are needed for you to be healthy. Also Walnuts & Pastachios are excellant sources of good fats.

About a quarter cup a day is terrific for anyone. Protein, calcium, fiber, vitamin E and "good" fat (monounsaturated, which can lower LDL, the "bad" cholesterol.) All raw nuts should be consumed with care, since they can contain some molds, etc. if kept too long where you are buying them...shop carefully! Also, you can freeze them, but make sure to seal the bag tightly so ice (and later mold) does not get in.

Almonds contain a lot of fat. One of highest in the Nut Kernel catagory. With the exception of the bitter almond, which contains high levels of prussic acid, almonds can have little negative effect on humans. The high fat content may disagree with your lower digestive tract. Not to get much more graphic than that.

Definitly eat them often. They are the best source of calcium per serving of anything on this earth, and have protein too! The fat that is in them is healthy fat that the body needs evey day to survive. Of course one can't live on JUST almonds, but they're great to have around.

They do have a lot of food, but if your going all raw, fat isnt going to be your problem. Plus its good fat... non saturated and non trans... you should be fine. Nuts are really important if your not eating cooked foods...
