i get whole-wheat bread freshly made from the bakery nearby. i spread veganaise on it, (delicious plant product-tastes better than mayo). thinly sliced avocado, some hickory-smoked tofurkey, romaine lettuce, and mustard. cucumber or sprouts as well, if i have them on hand.

best vegan sandwich ever.

I have a weakness for really good sourdough bread. Sometimes I use the Yves soy salami and turkey slices, but just as often sharp cheddar and an assortment of veggies. I don't like mayo or any fake version of it, so I use a little vinaigrette or an herbed cream cheese to moisten things up a bit.

Whole wheat bread, a good cheese with a lot of protein (a jack, cheddar, or swiss is usually good), aome kind of dark leafy green veggie, Romaine lettuce is decent, but go for something more sustantial, like raw turnip greens, bok choy, or spinach, some nuts like sunflower seeds, and some hummus.

I use lettuce as the bread, or cabbage leaves. Put some slices of tomato, cucumber, onion, then add lemon juice and some flax seed meal, and some sliced raw almonds. And voila! Yum.

My best sandwich is PB& Strawberry Jam. Our church has a peanut butter factory and we get the peanut butter FRESH! Sometimes only hours old. I have yet to find a peanut butter that can match the taste.
