Soymilk is a highly processed food. As a matter of fact, most of the soy products are highly processed. I'm sure you probably know this or you would not have been asking the question in the first place, but all processed foods are not all good for you. The more natural state the food is in, the better it is for you. One of the best soy products out there is tempeh. I don't know if you've heard about it, but it's not processed like most of the products are ie. cheese, milk, yogurt... It's fermented choped soy beans. Don't get me wrong, if you don't drink milk, it's good to drink soy milk. I do. In all truth though, the milk that's the healthist for you is goat's milk. I've done a lot of study on milk, and goat's milk is a lot better for you than cows, and it builds up the immune system. Of course, Cow's milk is good for you too, but not the cows milk you get out of the store. Those cows are given steriods that are passed on threw there milk, and they have even been linked with cancer.

yes highly processed, you can make fuel from the same product. but if you are looking for a healthier, non dairy alternative it is still good for you, my girlfiend is a raw foodist and she drinks it. i think its o.k. for you. you can also make your own milk from nuts. i dont care for it but some people do. check out Renee Loux Underkoffler's book called living cuisine.

Yes, if the soya plant does not produce it naturally (and it doesn't) it is extracted, and if it is extracted, it is processed.
