look at this link above.
Meat eaters honestly don't care about anyone's diet. Nobody gets abused for their dietary choices only how they act towards others with different ideas. Check out this link to the question "you meat eaters are pissing me off"

I'm a vegan and don't think I have any special "vegan politics". I have my own personal reasons for my diet that have nothing to do with animal rights or suffering. I'm not a PETA junkie, I don't protest in front of the circus, and I don't throw blood on people wearing fur coats (although I do think fur is gross). As for being annoying about our diets - it's a very personal thing, we're talking about what we put in our bodies here. Vegans can get physically ill from non-vegan food (I did just last week) so if we annoy you by asking for soy in our latte and you have to wait longer for your drink at Starbucks - too bad.

lol. i give a damn about vegans whatsoever. let them eat what they want. the problem is that they consider themselves higher than everyone because they won't kill animals. it's those PETA freaks that really get in the way. personally i say if they ever really get a law to stop the meat industries, i will personally butcher a PETA member, grind him/her up, and make PETAburgers for everyone. better yet, i would probably take a bunch of PETA members and drop them in a cage with hungry lions. let's see them turn those hungry beasts into vegetarians.

anyway, the way i see things, you've got one group against eating meat because they are animals and they have feelings too. next thing you know there will be an organization for the ethical treatment of plants. how stupid does that sound? it sounds about the same as PETA's message.

remember plants have feelings too. if you don't think so, go touch a venus fly trap. it has to be able to feel something to know when to close and consume whatever is inside it. and for the record, those kinds of plants are considered carnivores because insects are considered animals as well.

screw it, let's start an anti-plant eating organization. slogan.. "every plant has a mother, father, brothers, and sisters!" it's true.

Hey dude, eat what you want, I dont care. I choose not to eat meat, however there is no politics involved in a simple diet choice.
As this is a category for people who want to share their ideas and recipes, meat eaters post abusive answers which are not warranted.
Live and let live. We have more to worry about in this world without making this such a big deal.

Ha!!! Thought I jump off in here. People fun. I know vegans not want to kill living things. I remember a woman friend, she a vegetarian and it OK, but, anyway we were talking and I looked down at her "Leather" shoes!!! Oops! Should have kept my mouth shut. She was madder than a wet hen!!!!
But, don't be pissed, it the way, we as people are. We have our ideas and beliefs. Heck, that not hurt no one. It hard to turn down a good grilled Ribeye. ;-)

Not all vegans are pushy about the way they live, just most of them. I for one, try to not bug any one about eating meat, they don't bother me because I'm vegan, so it's not really my business. I think most vegans are so concerned about the welfare of animals that they begin to be mean to people about eating them, but really, people are animals too...

Vegans rock! I love their dedication and the fact that they care about animals. I wish I could stop eating meat.

Know what you mean, I can't stand the smug self-rightousness they give off either. I don't tey to force a steak down their throat I appriciate them keeping their tofu away from me.

If we weren't supposed to eat animals then why are they made of meat.

If you are so easily pissed off, you must be eating too much meat; it makes you aggressive. Maybe you should skip that next steak and eat some cous cous & tabouli.

i agree that the question got a little heated. i am vegetarian, but i don't in any way force my view onto other people. people should just let each other live how they want and get on with their own lives.

If you have a right to talk about eating animal products, then vegans have a right to talk about not eating animal products.
