I am looking for my three sisters...hopefully still alive. They were last reported to be in Florida. Ages between 35-49. I was a baby when they were last seen. They were originally from Texas. Their mother changed their original birth last name to CLARK....that would be their new maiden name. I only know of Sharon and Lisa...don't recall name of third one. They have a brother named Michael.
I do not know the sisters' married names, if any. Cannot locate any family who would. Their mother has no contact with birth father. I have NO contact with birth father. I have tried the "normal" routes of searching...ZABA, PHONESEARCH, Yahoo search, people search, birth certificates, court records, etc. Can't afford PI. Have been trying to find Michael too, as he is "easier" due to a VERY common name.
Do you know these ladies? I would like to speak with them. Needed for medical reasons. Thank you for any HONEST/RESPECTFUL help you can give. God Bless.

Classmates, Reunion, etc do NOT work unless the person registers first. I had already tried those, but the girls haven't registered. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I was hoping that a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, etc was a member of YA and might know these girls just by the info I gave. Maybe I am hoping for too much.

Thank you "thewordofgod", however, Clark is her maiden name. She is going by her married name...but don't know what it is. Don't even know if she is still in Florida. This is info gathered years ago when trying to search them.
Appreciate any and all help people are offering. Where's a crystal ball when we need one?

You won't find the help you need here. I'm a professional genealogist and I can tell you that with such a common surname, such common first names, and so little information, no one would be able to say they knew the right family. Even with much more unusual names, and more information, you can find people who APPEAR to match, but turn out to be the wrong ones.
If this is for "medical reasons", you can't afford to be wrong. A PI is not your best hope, either. You need a professional genealogist who specializes in adoption research. Go to the Association of Professional Genealogists and search for members with that specialty.
Most of us don't charge as much as a PI; while I can't make any promises for my colleagues, a few of us might even give you a break if you explain you need the information for medical reasons and have a financial hardship.
There is also a chance, if your doctor will verify that this is necessary, that your health insurance might pay for it. It's worth a try; the worst they can do is tell you no, and you'll be no worse off than you were.
The other thing you could do would be to go to (please, don't waste any time with the Clark surname forum; you won't get what you need in time) and look for the Association of Professional Genealogists mailing list (APG-L). Sign up for that, and post your problem there; someone might know of a way to get you help.
I'm sorry I can't help you personally; I work in the wrong area of the country, and adoption research is not a specialty. I know a little about it, but not enough to do what you need as quickly as I assume you need it.
Good luck; I know how hard this will be, and will pray for you.

This is a long shot, but sometimes talk show hosts -- even people like Oprah -- will have as guests people like you who have a problem that really needs public exposure. If you have tried people search, birth certificates, court records etc and nothing has turned up, you could try to get through to Oprah. Another suggestion is to write a letter to the editor, outlining as much as you know about them, and send it to newspapers in Texas (where former friends or neighbours might know where they went to) and to Florida, where you think they may be now.
It's a difficult task, but sometimes things fall in place. I hope they do for you.

Go to www. and then Rootsweb.com and click on mailing lists. sign up for the Clark mailing list and post your query. I have found the mailing lists are sometimes faster than the message boards. You could also try the mailing list or message board if you know the city/county for that county.
Also if they are deceased you could try the Rootsweb search engine and search in the Social Security Death Index.
