STOP DRINKING. It is really sad when your child has to tell you you are drinking to much. Sounds to me like you might have an alcohol problem. Get help.

Your just like my mom, and I wish I had the right thing to say or the sure cure, but honey, your going to have to choose. It's not going to be easy, but let your son know that you are trying and that you need his support. I'm almost 22 and my mom still parties, drinks, occasionally does drugs, and she picked all that over 4 beautiful baby girls. It's up to you. You can do it. This is what I used to tell my mom.. if only takes faith, the size of a mustard seed to move mountains, and I have about a trillion mustard seeds worth of faith in my mom, but she didn't. Stay strong, your kids will be there forever, rather under your roof or across the world in Iraq.

I have a different opinion from others. First, you need to look at what he is saying. Do you get crazy? What does he mean by crazy? Do you you know what he means? Do you drink every day? How old is your son? Does he live with you?
Does he have a problem with alcohol?
Too simply aswer your question would actually be the wrong thing to do without more info.

How sad for you that you even have to ask. If your drinking is so bad that your son has had to issue an ultimatum like this, then clearly your drinking is out of control and has been for some time. Stop drinking! Or keep drinking, if you value beer over your relationship with your son.

Maybe you should look deeper into the question. He is obviously saying this for a reason, even if you can't see it. Check out a local AA meeting, find out if you are in denial, and explain to your son that your drinking could possibly be a disease, for which has no cure, but can be controlled, if you really want to.

I'm so sorry to hear that, but if he wants to leave, it must be pretty serious. Whether it is your drinking, or just his feelings about your drinking, don't you want to do what's best for your son? If he has a problem with it, find out what it is rather than lose your son. Perhaps you two can come to a compromise.

Hey Mom...stop drinking at home! He's sending you a very strong message here..especially if he's younger than 18. you may want to stop before you lose his respect. Once you lose it...it's gone. If he says you get crazy when you drink than you probobly do. Alchohol has a blurring effect on the memory that makes it hard to tell afterward. Your the adult here...what would you do if it were your mother?

Tell your son that you are a alcoholic and cannot stop drinking but you will seek professional help. Ask him to be patient during this time and that you to want to stop drinking.

You need to inform your son that if he says that ever again you will send him to a childrens home and he will never see you again (DRUNK OR SOBER) and before he leaves you will thrash him within an inch of his life!!! if that doesnt work give him a cuddle and stay off the juice ya lush!!!!

Listen to your son and stop. You need to set a good example as his mother. He must have a reason to say that to you.

How old are you, how old is your son.

If he is 18 + drink another beer or maybe two. It's time he was out on his own. Hold the door so it won't hit him in the behind as he leaves. Then.................

Have another beer!

Now, if your a habitual drunk, who gets mad and beats people, and drives an automobile, when you drink, STOP drinking, and give him a hug for caring.
