The guy Ive slept with ( w/o protection) just moved here 5 years ago from Venezuela. He has been with other girls I know and have been sexually active and they are fine. But him being from Venezuela, does that make it any higher of a chance that I have it?

We do use protection, that was just because we were drunk. And yes it does matter where you're from because some countries have a way higher percent of HIV infected people.

No, unless he actually has HIV, you're at no greater risk. I don't think venezuela has a high population of people infected with HIV. If you're not sure about him, either don't sleep with him again or ask him to have tests done. If he's cool he'll do it.

Also, make usre you use protection next time. You could be pregnant now! Please have more respect for yourself and use protection.

First all of those 'girls" that look fine may well be infected, there is no large red sign that pops up when someone gets HIV, So the mere fact he will graze from girl to girl with no protection and may have for some time, is a real high chance of getting or already having something

Where he's from doesn't raise or lower his chances of having HIV, but I must say, it's not very intelligent to sleep with someone you're not sure of without protection. Get tested and buy some condoms.

No it doesn't. Makes no difference where they are from. The question is, does he have HIV, or doesn't he. That's the only thing that matters. Since you had unprotected sex, the only way to know this is to wait 6 months and then get tested.

Countries that are less developed then America do have higher STD rates. This is due to people not knowing about protection and about the various diseases. Also, it does not mean that he has HIV/AIDS. You should get tested to ease your mind.

It does not matter where someone is from, the FACT that YOU are sleeping with people without PROTECTION is what is going to give you a HIGHER CHANCE OF GETTING HIV. DONT BE DUMB!

I'm not sure about the percentage of people in Venezuela with AIDS but you should just get yourself tested ASAP.

No, but if you dont stop having unprotected sex you will get HIV . . . he should be worried about sleeping with you. Go get tested, both of you!
