If your area has bottle/can deposts, set out a collection bin for them in the cafeterias; employees can toss them into the bin instead of throwing them out and then the party committee can return the bottles and cans for the deposit refund.

If your company is a good-humored one, ask about auctioning off management for two hour sessions with employee with highest bid (managers could either job-shadow, have a discussion on employees ideas, etc.)

Have one that should be easy, and should generate enough cash. I used it a few years ago with great success. My funds went to support our volunteers.

If you have a fridge in the break room all the better, if not you will need to pick up a little one (like a mini bar in hotels). When the grocery stores run those great soft drink sales, stock up! Many times you can get a 6 pack for $1.00 to $1.50, put the kitty can out 50 cents a can!

The trick is to keep it filled with cold drinks, they like.
If you have some health nuts, with time you can do little boxes of juice.
If the office is full of snackers, a basket full of an assortment of Little Debbies.

One person needs to be in charge of this! Prime the pump with about $10.00 of drinks, from then on restock using the money from the kitty.

I know it only sounds like nickels and dimes, but it does add up quickly. Best of all, it takes very little time on your part.

An in house bake sale can work, but as a rule most people would rather just donate some money than bake cookies after work.

Raffles, auctions, car washes and such are great for non profit groups, but no for a business. In theory the company should pay for the party, to show it's appreciation to the employees. Since you are looking for a fund raiser, it appears you work for a cheap company.

If everyone knows the kitty is for the party, you should have enough after a year, to have a great party.

Our school has since been closed but we used to sell pizzas. We would buy pizza crusts from a local bakery and then add the toppings. The kids worked in an "assembly line" fashion and things went quite quickly. We only had one kind of pizza. We sold the pizzas for $10 and still made $5 a pizza. A lot of the parents thought the pizzas were great to have in the freezer for emergencies and were much better than the "store" bought frozen pizzas. If you think this is too much work, then you can have team contests...Enter a team of 4 people for fee and the people will win a surprise. You can have silly fun races like...fill a plastic tub with water, run to the finish line and which ever team has the most water and finishes the quickest would win the prize... or the baseball bat race...your player has to put the end of the bat on his forehead and then the other end on the ground. The have to spin around 10 times and then run to the finish line and back. or you can have someone eat 10 crackers and then blow up a balloon, tie it and run to a marker, sit on the balloon until it pops and run back to the finish line. Which ever team finishes first wins the surprise. For the surprise, you may have a 6 pack or a gag Gift (San Fransico shops - do they still have those??) or maybe your company will donate the prizes. Have fun! Wish i were there....

Depending on the size of your company (it should be over 100 employees to make this work) selling a cookbook that contains the favorite recipes of the workers can be fun. One of the most successful employee cookbooks was the Marshall Fields/Dayton Hudson cookbook back in the early 1990's--Potluck for 33,000. HUGE cookbook that was filled with great recipes.

But even small company cookbooks can be good!

Cookbook Publishers has been turning recipes into fundraising successes for churches, schools, non-profit organizations and families just like yours since 1947. The professional quality of your personalized cookbook—with the prized recipes from the good cooks in your community—will make it a keepsake, and a best-seller. As you'll see, with Cookbook Publishers, creating your own cookbook is really as easy as pie!

An auction is always fun. It can be a silent auction if you can't get everyone together at the same time for a live auction. Just have people donate things like that extra set of baseball tickets or ballet tickets from their season ticket package that's on a date they can't use, a gift certificate from their wife's or husband's business, maybe a few merchants in town will throw in a free massage or a 1-day guest pass for a health club or a bottle of wine.

Bake Sale, Food Sale, (if you get good stuff, people will buy it) Try a fair-ground based thing. Without the huge rides. Like...."Dunk the Boss"! Game where you throw the ball and the boss falls in the water.
Or try contests; Pie Eating, Hot Dog Eating, How many wings you can eat in a minute lol. Be creative. :) Have fun with the party and stuff. (>'.')>

It does not bear thinking about, as it seems they get into No. ten and their first thoughts go abroad and then love to give our money away, so it makes them look good .. I like the expression that we live in a rich Country...well it would be nice to help the people that helped to make it that way, as they certainly forget that. We are poor relations, as regards Pensions, as all of you will see in the future. The Pensions are pathetic in this day and age, as all we do is scrape along as best we can, as we have not to expect any more for our Labours.Any extras that we need, like clothes, bedding etc do enter into his reckoning when doing his books. Its a case of" I,m alright Jack "

Try a raffle. Purpose and or possibly check if a business will donate an item and then sell chances on it. Sell chances on it for $1 each or 6 for $5.
