I recommend following the standard tipping rate for a service, 15%, but no less than a $2.00 minimum. If the weather is bad out and you wouldn't even consider being out in it, you should tip more.

Further, cash tips are greatly appreciated by the delivery person. If you are going to add in into the credit card slip, be sure to ask if they will receive the tip. Sometimes the restaurant will keep tips from a credit card slip.

5 dollars for 1 pizza, more for 2! The gas prices are so high today, I don't know how cheap people can live with themselves tipping any less! If they can't afford a decent tip for delivery, they should drive there themselves & pick it up OR illminate a topping so they can tip u more! And even if you were a little late, they still need to tip you!

I'm a delivery driver in Texas, not Colorado, but from experience, nowadays, the minimum tip for a delivery driver should be $2.50. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.

Delivery driving is the 5th most dangerous job in the U.S. If you don't believe me, check the link:

Not only is it the fifth most dangerous job, but gas prices are rediculous to say the least. I've been delivering pizzas for five years now. (My whole college career as of yet) But, when I average $1.56 a delivery, like today, it's barely enough to fill my tank back up, and not even close to enough to think about the future of when my car reaches its end.

So, please, tip your delivery drivers or cook the pizza in your freezer.

I used to give two bucks and the change from the total price (more if I order over 2 for a party) but with the high price of gasoline these guys are a dying breed.

So either cough up $5 or more or pick up the pizza yourself.
