Who governs what you eat? Some raw foodist guru or yourself? You decide.

Who cares what people think anyway!!!!!

It all depends on the quality of the vegetables that you are eating. It is possible for vegetables to soak up what is in the ground. If pesticides, fertilizer and the like are in the ground and being soaked up by the vegetable then you are eating this. fortunately these products are well tested, it is easy these days to see what concentration of pesticide is absorbed by the plant and an animal after it has eaten a vegetable with a chemical in it. this is how they test for chemical safety. if a vegetable doesnt absorb anything, or an animal doesnt absorb a chemical from a vegetable then it would be no different to eating an organic vegetable, unless somehow the vegetable mutated in some way

Organic foods have much higher concentrations of vitamins and minerals. If you are a strict vegan you really should stick with organic. Even supplementing with vitamins, you are loosing out on a great deal of vital nutrients, and with conventional foods, you have to eat more calories to meet the vitamin needs. Stick with organic as much as you possibly can.

your food neurosis is much more unhealthy than any pesticides. Seriously. Be careful and don't listen to vegan freaks. You are on a slippery slope towards an eating disorder. Eat what your body tells you it needs and stop stressing about it. Try saying yes to life instead of finding so amny things to say no to.

A recent study reported that organic food is not any better for you than non-organic.

That said-- I'm sure pesticides, hormones etc. in our food isn't all that good for us. You being vegan, I wouldn't imagine you'd get hormones in your food since you don't drink milk or eat meat right?

Don't get brainwashed by extremem vegans. Eat what's good for you and that you like.

NO for goodness sakes - eat what tastes good and is good for you.

If you are concerned about pesticides etc just get yourself a good soap to wash your fruit and veggies in before you eat them. Rinse well - you don't want to eat soap either!

Organic can sometimes just be hype - you have to eat what works for you. There are no laws (yet) against what we eat.

Good luck :O))
