Man-o-man...that's a lot of choices!
But the one thing I keep going back to, time and again, is just your basic creme brulée.
Yes, I know this is a heart-stopper and it really messes with my cholesterol level.
But the beauty of this dessert is in its simplicity.
Clean, neat, rich, smooth...and a little goes a long way.
And it is fun (and easy) to make.

My favorite dessert is the "flan", it's delicious, and easy to prepare.
Crème caramel or flan is a kind of rich custard dessert with a layer of soft caramel on top. Both names are of French origin. The dish has spread across Europe and the world, and is known as 'flan' in Spanish-speaking countries. In the United States, the dish is now best-known in a Latin American context, so is called flan; in Europe, it is generally known as crème caramel.

Fried Cheesecake with homemade whipped topping and sliced strawberries at a restaurant in Mobile, AL. That was the most decadent, delectable dessert I have ever put in my mouth.
