A lot of misinformation here. Hep C is actualy fairly difficult to transmit by sexual contact. It is almost always transmitted by contaminated needles between addicts, or by blood transfusions or blood product transfusions (in the past, before blood products were tested for Hep C). This is very unlike Hep B, whcih transmits extremely easily through sex. If you have any cuts, however, or open sores, then contact with an infected persons semen could transmit it, so you should use protection. However, before you lump everyone who has had exposure to Hep C into one basket, let me tell you that a signfiicant percentage of patients (about 24%) successfuly clear the virus from their system within a few months and are no longer infected or contagious. So be sure first if the person has only been exposed to Hep C, and recovered, versus one who has a chronic life-long infection. If they had it in the past and recovered (i.e., no virus detectable with PCR-DNA virus tests), then it is safe to have unprotected sex with him and have babies.

well, if he was honest and upfront, that is a step in the right direction. Sounds like a good guy. Sometimes things happen for a reason, and if you have feelings for him, go for it. Life is too short.

Ehh.. not being selfish, but I think you shouldn't. Seek your own happiness. And you just said it... if you want to have kids, get someone healthy.
