tough question. I have a patient who has the same problem, sort of anyway. she swells from insulin. try taking minimal doses of insulin to control as best as possible without allergic reactions. not the ideal but it's the best you might be able to do for now. my recs would be to find a diabetes educator who can help you with diet and weight control. maybe a university medical center where they are on top of leading research and treatment. maybe you are a candidate for a pancreas (& usually kidney) transplant. diet and exercise can go a long way but type 2 is considered to be a progressive disease and you may already be beyond control without insulin. good luck to you. I know your situation is very frustrating.

I am fighting a systemic yeast infestation (Candida). It is complicating my diabetes, because it produces ethanol as a byproduct. My anti-yeast diet is also a strict anti-sugar diet, because yeast lives on sugar.
I understand cinnamon acts like an oral hypoglycemic agent (making what insulin you have more effective). I don't use it myself though, very often.

eat more greens, profusely. take green pills (spirulina and chlorella). drink green (superfood powder) with a glass at first and increase it up to a quart a day or less if you can't take that much. avoid all carbs. toxicity is the real problem in many diabetes cases.

Really? How was the allergy when you got it? Did you swell, itch or what?
Try exenatide, unless you had already done so and it failed...New and sold under the name of Byetta.
Go to an endocrinologist.
