I am only 35 years old. I have extreme weakness, dizziness and chestpain. My blood pressure was 74/45 yesterday and 92/55 today. I went to the emergency room but they sent me home saying the infarction wasn't a big deal. I get scared I'm gonna pass-out.

As every one has mentioned that Infarc is a term for heart attack. It can be mild or major. If they sent you home then chances are that it was an old infarc and that you had no clinical indications for being there, HOWEVER IF YOU ARE CONTINUING TO EXPERIENCE SYMPTOMS YOU NEED TO BE RE-EVALUATED. a blood pressure of 74/45 is cause for major concern if you do not normally have low blood pressure. You need to be seen and followed by a cardiologist. Saying that it was no big deal is WRONG. Especially at 35.

You need a full work up including laboratory, stress test, and possibly cardiac cath (if testing shows nothing but a possible old MI INSIST ON THE CARDIAC CATH, my best friend was 33 with some cardiac issues considered minor. she had a thallium stress test that revealed nothing, a week later she had a Major MI at work that she did not survive. She was an ER nurse and she died at work. Nothing they did could save her. Had she insisted on the cardiac cath she might be alive today.

Now you could be having panic attacks that are exacerbated by fear. Perfectly natural, but chances are that you really do need to be re-checked.

INFARCTION is the common term used when the heart (made of muscle called Myocardial tissue) shows some type of damage. The common term for this is "myocardial infarction". There is also a term that is similar that is used often when referring to the heart: ISCHEMIA. This is a situation when the heart has suffered a lack of blood flow but has not shown the signs of damage.

An infarct is usually determined in severity by several tests which can also determine how recent the infarct occured. EKG tests alone do not always determine an infarct. If you have not had blood work done, you should see your physician about having your cardiac enzymes checked, which is a more definative test. IF your Cardiac Enzymes test is fine, your EKG may be showing an old Infarct.

' myocardial (heart) infarction' is medical lingo for a heart attack. If they sent you home it was probably an old heart attack (meaning you had a heart attack awhile back and didn't know it). Those blood pressures are a little low and if you are feeling like you will pass out that's a little worrisome. Give your family Dr. a call since ER sent you home and see what they think. If you still feel really bad go to a different ER.
for now have someone at your house so that if you do pass out someone can help you out. Change from lying to sitting to standing slowly to try and help control the dizziness that happens when you change positions

YES, if you are said toi have had an infarction that is a heart attack.

And this just does not sound like something that a hospital would do.
If your BP is that low and you are feeling dizzy and you have had an old infarction they should have kept you...

I would go back if I were you !!!
