Good sources of protein can be found in many different plant foods, such as grains and legumes (beans, soybeans, lentils), and in dairy products, such as milk and yogurt. Nuts have lots of protein, and you don't have to settle for just peanut butter either. Tofu is also an excellent source, and easy to work with and find delicious recipes for.

If you enjoy eating rice, add lentils for your protein. And when you make baked goods, try substituting some flaxseed meal for some of the flour. It adds a little bit of a nutty flavor, but just 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal contain 4.5 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein. I use flaxseed meal when I make my oatmeal waffles, and they always come out great. If you'd like the recipe, just e-mail me.

I am a vegetarian and I get my protien from a variety of pulses. Just walk into an asian or Indian gorcery store and you will see pulses of different kinds. You can go to a local book store and pick up a couple of cook books which cater to asian and indian foods. Also, you can get Soy based protein powder from GNC to supplement your daily intake.

All the best

It's nearly IMPOSSIBLE not to get enough protein. All foods have protein. Whole grain foods are your best bet. For example, 2 slices of 9 grain bread have 10 grams alone. Whole wheat pastas, cereals etc. are great for you.
