Herpes is spread by direct skin to skin contact and by sex (genital herpes). You can get herpes simplex one (cold sores) simply by being kissed by someone who has them on their lips or mouth area. Genital herpes (herpes simplex 2) can be spread by having direct skin contact (like rubbing) or by having sex with a person who has it. Even if the person is not showing an sores, they can still be "shedding" the virus, which can cause you to get it.
HPV is spread the same way. Direct skin to skin contact and sex. If a person has genital warts, hand or feet warts (all caused by HPV), you can get them by just rubbing or touching them. You can also get HPV from sex. It is the number one STD in the world, because there really are no signs or symptoms from it.
As for getting it in the hot tub, I really doubt it. I have both viruses and I have NEVER gave it to anyone that I shared a hot tub with (family, friends, boyfriends, etc.) I think the only possible way you would get it is if you were rubbing, direct skin to skin contact, with someone who has the virus in the hot tube. Its not like the virus is "floating around" in the hot tub though.

I got diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about four years back, when I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I understand lots of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/7y3vE everything improved.
Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

Awe ... is my little Lisa Pooh a sicky? SO sad to hear that sweetness. I am usually the "tuck-er" myself (it's the never ending plight of the single mother - as you well know!). Who's supposed to take care of us when we're sick? Huh? Guess we'll have to lean on each other won't we! Well if I was there you know I'd tuck ya in for sure! Here's big hug and wish for you to feel much better soon. Hopefully you got some good drugs ... if not go get some quick! ;-) Then get yourself to bed and sleep. The more you sleep the faster your body will heal! Peace to you and Easter blessings ... ^^ ~ ^^ ~ ^^ ~ ^^ ~ ^^ ~ ^^ ~ ^^ ~ ^^

Probably not. For one thing, viruses are sensitive to temperatures that are outside the range of the human body( 96-99 degrees F). For another thing, the dilution factor would be very important. In addition, soap in the water would make it difficult for the virus particles to stick to the skin.
