you must not live in the USA - or at least in our State - you have to be 21 to drink beer or hard liquor....so coke and iced tea for you :)
But if you live elsewhere:
--beer in a keg that way you don't have to worry about all the bottles (here our kids all like different brands - some light beers some corona some yuenling. We just know what each likes and have it for them when they come visit).
--Margarita fixings (a couple of blenders - traditional plus strawberries, tequila (good quality), triple sec, etc available, salt for dipping glasses......ice bucket to put in blender and let folks make their own drink.
That is about all - I can't think of any of our young folks drinnking anything but those 2 things - even though we always have wines and other liquors - the young (i.e. over 21) seem to stick with the two above.
As the night goes on, I have noticed that they start to experiment with the blender and the other liquors....
LONG ISLAND iced teas seem to be a popular one, too
P.S. I would STRONGLY recommend that if you are offering liquor for the first time you (1) ensure no one leave drunk or that they have designated drivers - or (2) make arrangments with a local taxi company to take folks home if they have had too much.
DO NOT let your guests drink and drive - best way to ruin your 18th to know that you contributed to an accident.
My husband has been known to 'wonder' the party once and a while and check to see if anybody overdoing it. He has taken keys away - no questions asked and told our kids: when that person wants to leave, let me know and I will drive him/her - no questions asked. He has them sit in the back seat - straps them in and off he goes.
One birthday he was presented with a chofer cap by some of these kids (now parents themselves)
SOOOO do whatever it takes to ensure you have fun! and be safe (p.s. invite your neighbors if it is going to be a loud party - if they are not friendly - at least have the courtesy to let them know you will be having your 18th birthday -date/time and apologize in advance for noise. ALSO, find out from the local police about noise ordinance regulations for your area)

There is no place for alcohol at an 18th birthday party. There is a reason that the legal age to purchase or possess alcohol is 21, basically, 18 year olds are complete morons. I know I was... so was everybody I know.

Well the beer that I highly recommend for the 18th b-day party is Root Beer. Doesnt cause drunk driving tickets and expenses.

Most kids think that booze is the thing to do on their 18, or 21st birthday. Getting liquored up can only get you in trouble. Have a maximum of two drinks and drink no more. Be sober enough to really celebrate.

If anyone is going to be drinking alcohol, take everyone's keys at the door and plan for them to spend the night. I'm sure you know it's still illegal. Do you also know if anyone of age is at your party they will be in deep trouble? Don't get too loud and check on everybody periodically to make sure they are okay. I know this isn't what you wanted me to say, but I can't make those type of suggestions to underage people.

there are many alcoholic beverages that you could choose from, but not at an 18th birthday party, because the legal drinking age is 21

You should not be drinking at an 18th birthday party; wait until you are 21.
