Just like every profession there is, teachers can become jaded & fed up and with good reason!
I would think it has A LOT to do with:
Kids that don't really want to be there and/or don't like the subject and/or the teacher.
Parents that don't care and view school as their babysitting service, instead of the place where their child can be guided by a good teacher that could assist their child to grow and learn the skills that will make them good & productive human beings one day.
Getting little or no respect from the kids they attempt to teach and no backup from their parents makes it a VERY challenging, if not impossible, situation. School doesn't stop when the bell rings at the end of the day ... kids need a good support system and that begins at home! Many kids don't have that support so it becomes a lose/lose situation.
Classrooms that are overcrowded because of budget cut backs in school districts. It's much easier to attempt to teach 20-25 kids than 30-40.
School districts that are underfunded by local, state and federal governments.
I don't think teachers get the respect they deserve either. Think about this: in an automotive factory a person can stand on the line and their job may be putting a few screws in a bumper all day long. Hard, boring, repetitive work (and I'm NOT disrepecting anyone with that statement!) and make $100,000 a year. A teacher will make about 1/2 of that money and he/she is responsible for educating the future generations in this country. Do I think the teachers have a right to be a bit bitter? I do!

Find another teacher. Obviously the bitter ones shouldn't be around people and are in the wrong line of work.

teachers are not at all bitter.
even medicines are not sweet but they are good for health. in the same way teachers are very good as they are making our life good. so we should respect our teachers as they teach us how to deal with life.

Parents think they are in charge, administrators think they are right, kids think they are in charge.....and no one listens to the teacher who is in the class doing the job that no one will do. The pay is crap and no one backs up the teacher even if the child truly did something wrong

Most teachers aren't. The ones who are should find another profession.
